Flamengo are stepping up preparations to face Remo on Thursday 19, with surging ticket demand and national-team discussion shaping the day.

According to Coluna Do Fla, more than 45,000 tickets had been sold in advance by Tuesday 17 for the Maracanã meeting, pointing to another near-capacity crowd.

The CBF on Monday 16 named the squad for friendlies against France and Croatia without Lucas Paquetá. Carlo Ancelotti said staff are monitoring all players and that absentees could still make the final World Cup squad, citing Paquetá as an example and noting Danilo and Gabriel Sara are in strong form at Botafogo and Galatasaray.

Jorge Mendes set out Filipe Luís’s next step, saying, "Filipe Luís will go to Europe. He is thinking about and preparing the next project", in an interview with GE.

His name had been floated at Cruzeiro following Tite’s exit. The Remo clash forms part of round seven of the Brasileiro.
