Fleury Di Nallo, Lyon legend and the club’s record goalscorer, has died aged 83.
According to L'Équipe, he was nicknamed the Little Prince of Gerland and starred for OL from 1960 to 1974, scoring 222 goals in 494 matches.
In the French top flight he struck 187 goals, ninth on the all-time list, and he did not take penalties. He is also Lyon’s leading scorer in derbies against Saint-Étienne, with 14 in 21 meetings.
On 9 April 1971, in the Coupe de France last 16 second leg after a 0-2 first-leg defeat, he hit a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Saint-Étienne.
He lifted the trophy in 1964, 1967 and 1973, scoring in the 1967 final against Sochaux as Lyon won 3-1.
For France he scored eight in 10 caps between 1962 and 1971. He later spent one season at Red Star, then joined Montpellier, before taking roles within Lyon.
He once said his club scoring record would never be broken and that he could die content. His death has left Lyon in mourning.
