Florentino Pérez ‘to bring back’ José Mourinho to Real Madrid | OneFootball

COPE reports that Florentino Pérez wants José Mourinho to return to Real Madrid, with the claim aired on Wednesday, 15 January.

The report says Pérez’s ultimate aim is a reunion and alleges Mourinho is creating a stir at Benfica in order to prompt his dismissal.

It further suggests Mourinho was the only coach to satisfy Pérez and that a comeback would not be a surprise.

Benfica have recently dismissed speculation over a change in the dugout and publicly reiterated total confidence in their current manager.

Since taking over from Bruno Lage, Mourinho has overseen 24 matches for Benfica, winning 14, drawing five and losing five. The team are 10 points behind Porto in Liga Portugal Betclic and out of the domestic cups.
