Liam Rosenior will make an unexpected return to Ligue 1 only five months after leaving BlueCo-owned RC Strasbourg for Chelsea. L’Equipe understands that the English head coach will take over from Antoine Kombouaré as Paris FC manager. Rosenior is expected to sign a two-year deal, which includes an extra optionnal year, with the Arnault-backed Parisiens on Thursday.
Paris FC were expected to return to pre-season training on Wednesday. However, it has been delayed amid talks with Rosenior, as well as with current head coach Antoine Kombouaré. The former Nantes head coach reportedly asked sporting guarantees regarding the quality of the squad at his disposal next season, as well as a contract extension, but no agreement has been reached between the two parties.
On Thursday, the day he turns 42, Rosenior will replace the Kanak in the Stade Jean-Bouin dugout.
