The future of Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona continues to attract attention across Europe, and now former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has encouraged the Premier League side to move for the veteran forward.
Lewandowski’s situation at Barcelona remains one of the most closely followed topics ahead of the summer transfer window.
While the Polish striker still remains an important figure inside the squad, uncertainty surrounding his long-term future has opened the door to speculation involving several clubs across Europe and beyond.
Liverpool have now unexpectedly been mentioned as a possible destination after Crouch strongly backed the idea of bringing the experienced striker to Anfield.
The former England international believes Lewandowski could still make a major impact in the Premier League despite his age and argued that Liverpool should not hesitate if the opportunity becomes realistic.
“He’s a world-class player. He may not be so young anymore, but he would be a fantastic option.
“It would be a more than sensible signing. Liverpool should sign Lewandowski no matter what,” he said, as per SPORT.

Crouch also pointed toward Liverpool’s current attacking situation as one of the reasons the club should seriously consider the move.
According to the former striker, concerns remain regarding the fitness and availability of some of Liverpool’s current forwards.
“Isak has just come back and I think he’ll have a good season next year. But who would say no to signing Lewandowski?
“He still knows exactly how to score goals. There’s no doubt about that.”
The former Liverpool forward also suggested that the club’s heavy spending in recent transfer windows has not fully delivered the expected results, making Lewandowski’s situation particularly appealing from a financial perspective.
“What they spent last summer has, in the end, proved not to be worth it.
“Lewandowski’s case is different because he’d arrive on a free and eager to prove himself in the Premier League. I wouldn’t have any doubts,” he concluded.
