Leeds United are weighing four contract priorities as they edge towards Premier League safety, with planning complicated by the World Cup. According to Leeds Live, Daniel Farke has said any extra time before the window would be limited, though renewals can still be advanced.

Once a player enters the final 12 months, their value dips and from January they can talk to overseas clubs. Securing survival, which could come this weekend, would give clarity to start those talks.

With the PSR deadline on June 30 and new Squad Cost Ratio rules due after, some deals may only be formalised from the start of July. Terms can still be settled beforehand, and there may be room for one renewal this cycle.

Karl Darlow is out of contract in July amid outside interest. Farke kept specifics under wraps and invited people to read between the lines. With Leeds tipped to target a new goalkeeper, the 35-year-old, a back-up for the past two seasons, has a call to make.

Ethan Ampadu’s deal runs to next year and the 25-year-old is bound to attract attention, so an early extension would quieten noise. Pascal Struijk, 26, has progressed, with aerial strength, tidy passing and better positioning outweighing occasional lapses.

Farke’s deal runs to 2027 after a November turnaround. Since then Leeds have lost only four league games, two to Arsenal and Manchester City, won away at Manchester United and reached the FA Cup semi-finals. Any extension talks are not expected before the summer.
