France train with 20 at Clairefontaine as Côte d’Ivoire warm-up nears | OneFootball

With three days to go before their first warm-up against Côte d’Ivoire, France trained at Clairefontaine on Monday with 20 players, the six Champions League finalists absent.

According to L'Équipe, after a classic rondo the session moved to a 10 against 10 practice match, played at good intensity. The side led by Michael Olise, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Rayan Cherki beat a team with Kylian Mbappé, Adrien Rabiot and Ibrahima Konaté thanks to a Marcus Thuram brace.

After several days focused on physical preparation, the players stepped up under sharp sunshine and kept the joking going. Disputed calls sparked regular complaints.

The Champions League finalists are due to arrive on Tuesday. Uncertainty remains over William Saliba, who has a back issue.

On Tuesday at midday the squad will lunch with President Emmanuel Macron, followed by a behind closed doors session at 17:00. That evening, the men’s and women’s France teams will come together for a shared discussion.
