A former protégé of Gian Piero Gasperini could return to Serie A.

Former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessié, currently under contract with Arab club Al-Ahli, is reportedly unsure about renewing his contract with the Saudi club.

Roma, who had already pursued him last summer, could return to the scene and push for him to join the capital.

The main issue, as reported by AfricaFoot, is his salary: Kessié earns a salary of €4.5 million, a sum the Trigoria club would be unlikely to afford.

If the former Atalanta player is willing to reduce his salary, his arrival could be much easier than expected, and he could thus reunite with his old coach.
