FC Bayern are remaining resolute in their pursuit of Noel Aseko – and have clearly rejected the first interested parties. After the Munich club brought the U21 international back from Hannover 96 via a buy-back option, the midfielder is to remain in Munich for the time being and present himself during preparations

Eintracht Frankfurt, in particular, had recently signaled concrete interest in signing him. The Hessians are planning a shake-up in the summer and see Aseko as a building block for the future capable of development. But at Säbener Straße, they are currently not thinking of letting the 21-year-old go

Bayern opt for an internal solution

According to BILD, those responsible around Max Eberl first want to test Aseko in their own environment. His strong development in Hanover has made an impression internally – now he should get the chance to prove himself in the professional squad

A sale is therefore not an issue for the time being. In fact, there could even be real prospects for the central midfielder, given the unclear future of Leon Goretzka, whose role in the squad could be reassessed for the new season

Aseko could fill precisely this gap – provided he impresses in preparation under Vincent Kompany. The ball is therefore clearly in the player’s court

Frankfurt still hoping – but only on loan
