In the post-Cristiano Ronaldo era, the Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior has been one of the biggest superstars in the Real Madrid team. He was the leader of the Merengue attack when they won their last UEFA Champions League title, in 2024, and also a very important player in 2022, when Karim Benzema led the Los Blancos attack to lift another UCL title.
Despite this starring role in recent years, the forward’s future at Real Madrid is currently quite uncertain. He has only a single year left on his contract, and despite the lengthy negotiations between the Merengue club and the player, the two parties are yet to reach an agreement for his renewal.
In such a context, several European sides are reportedly keeping a close eye on his situation, and one major club that has been linked with him recently is the Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. However, the journalist Christian Falk, in his latest column on CF Bayern Insider, makes it clear that there is no truth in reports linking the Los Blancos star with the Bavarian club.
The journalist claims that there is zero chance of such a move taking place because of several reasons. For starters, Bayern are not willing to pay the high wages that the Brazilian is currently demanding in his renewal negotiations with Real Madrid. Furthermore, the Bavarian side believes it already has a very good attacking lineup with the likes of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, Jamal Musiala, and Ismael Saibari.
With the World Cup he has just had, they have no reason to bring in another star to replace or compete with Luis Diaz. Another factor that is keeping the Bundesliga side away from Vinicius is his personality, as Bayern Munich usually do not go for players who are likely to disturb the dressing room harmony.
Thus, while it remains to be seen how his negotiations with Real Madrid will go, even if they do not end up well, Bayern Munich will not be a likely next destination for him.
