Fulham come from behind to beat Middlesbrough | OneFootball

Fulham overturned a first-half deficit to defeat Middlesbrough 3-1 at Craven Cottage and book their place in the FA Cup fourth round.

The Championship side had taken the lead through Hayden Hackney after 30 minutes, following a slick move by Sam Silvera, who danced past Ryan Sessegnon and Jorge Cuenca to square for Hackney to poke home.

The Cottagers struggled to break down a disciplined Boro defence during the opening stages and were fortunate not to fall further behind when Luke Ayling cleared Jorge Cuenca’s near-post header off the line just before half-time.

Manager Marco Silva made several changes at the interval, bringing on Harry Wilson, Raúl Jiménez, and Tom Cairney. The substitutions made an immediate impact. Less than four minutes after coming on, Wilson curled a superb strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner to level the score.

Boro nearly regained the lead shortly after, as Tommy Conway’s header clipped the crossbar, but it was Fulham who struck next. Cairney threaded a pass into Emile Smith Rowe, who found space inside the box and finished clinically past Sol Brynn to put the hosts ahead on 75 minutes.

The win was sealed late on when Kevin tapped in his first goal for Fulham from close range, following a neat delivery from Wilson
