Fulham have sent a warm but cheeky farewell to Harry Wilson after his free transfer to Leeds United was confirmed on Wednesday, wishing him the best apart from two league meetings each season. The 29-year-old signed a four-year contract and moves 10 months after a failed deadline-day push.

The club said in a statement that he had joined Leeds following the expiry of his Fulham contract, highlighting 36 goals and 46 assists in 187 appearances across five seasons, and wishing him luck, two games a season aside. The statement, which included words from sporting director Tony Khan, thanked Wilson for his dedication, praised his flair and character, and noted he would be missed around the training ground.

Fulham also underlined the quality of his goals, from long-range curlers to last season’s trivela against Crystal Palace. Wilson departed off the back of a career-best year, collecting the club’s Player of the Season award.

He registered 11 goals and eight assists in 38 Premier League and FA Cup outings in 2023-24, a contribution roughly every other game.

Wilson will link up with Daniel Farke’s squad, alongside fellow Wales internationals, for pre-season. His move was announced after a pre-arranged training camp in Portugal.

Fulham visit Elland Road on December 19.
