Gabi Zanotti was the representative of Corinthians in FIFA's institutional commitments on the eve of the Champions Cup, the first Women's Club World Cup. The number 10 participated in interviews and official tournament actions.

In an interview with Corinthians TV, Zanotti emphasized the personal and collective significance of experiencing this moment wearing the Corinthians jersey, highlighting the responsibility of representing the club and also Brazilian football in an unprecedented competition.

“Ah, very happy, this is the realization of a dream, something we always aimed for. We had the opportunity to be here representing the 'bando de loucos' and not just the Corinthians club, but also representing Brazil. And we know the responsibility we carry. And this moment, I think, is to enjoy as much as possible and show our football to the world”, said the player.

The athlete also highlighted the importance of the Champions Cup for the global development of women's football, pointing out the tournament as a milestone in the history of the sport.

“We know it has great importance thinking globally, developing, thinking about the evolution of women's football. So I am very happy to participate in this moment and I hope we can have a great semifinal against Gotham FC”, she added.

For Zanotti, the realization of the World Cup represents a turning point for women's football, especially for athletes who, in other generations, did not have the opportunity to compete in competitions of this magnitude.

“It represents a historic turning point, right, for women's football. We know that back then it seemed so distant and today I am here, living all this. I am very happy to be enjoying this moment on the field, many girls who came before did not have this opportunity”, she said.

Finally, the number 10 reinforced the Corinthians squad's commitment to making the most of every moment of the competition and delivering their best on the field.

“As I said, it's about trying to live each moment intensely here and giving our best, delivering our best on the field”, she concluded.

Corinthians debuts in the Champions Cup this Wednesday (28th) at 9:30 am (Brasília time), when they face Gotham FC from the United States in the tournament's semifinal in London, England.
