Gabriel Paulista suffered pain in his right thigh and was substituted during Corinthians' 2-1 home defeat to Cruzeiro at Neo Química Arena on Sunday.

The issue occurred seven minutes into the second half after he rose to contest an aerial ball. He went down for treatment, then was replaced by João Pedro Tchoca. According to Meu Timao, he will be assessed by the club's medical staff to determine the extent.

He is therefore a doubt for Thursday's Libertadores decider against Rosario Central at Neo Química Arena.

Corinthians were already without André Ramalho. The defender developed labyrinthitis after the first meeting with Rosario Central and missed the Cruzeiro match.

Fernando Diniz now has a selection headache in defence. Options include Gustavo Henrique, João Pedro Tchoca and Iago Machado.

Corinthians host Rosario Central at 21:30 on Thursday, the 20th, in the second leg of the Libertadores round of 16. The first leg in Argentina finished 0-0, so the winners will advance to the quarter-finals.
