Tough task at leaders flawless at home

The ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga season is entering its final stretch, and the penultimate round of the championship group could prove decisive. On Saturday, our RBS women aim to derail FK Austria Vienna's potential title celebrations at 14:00 CEST. The hosts would clinch the championship tomorrow if SKN St. Pölten drops points against SK Sturm. Otherwise, a home victory against our team would mark Austria Vienna's first ever women's title, dethroning St. Pölten, who have dominated the league since the 2014/15 season.

Lucia Orkic and her teammates are well aware of the quality of the Violets, especially at home, as the Viennese team has yet to drop a point at their own ground – with a combined goal difference of 34-5! After our girls suffered a heavy defeat (0-6) there in September, a significant improvement was evident in the three subsequent matches: two narrow 0-1 losses (including the UNIQA ÖFB Cup final a few days ago) were offset by a respectable 0-0 draw at the beginning of May.

Although fourth place in the final standings is already secured, our team is naturally aiming for a victory – also to break their league goal drought that has lasted since the end of March. This clash will be officiated by Lara Anderson and broadcast on ÖFB TV.
