The Swedish centre-back struggled to settle in Glasgow, managing just seven league games after joining from Elfsborg in 2023, before being loaned out to Twente last season.
Lagerbielke’s transfer to Braga is set to be finalised today, with official confirmation expected soon.
Although the Sweden international was commended by both manager Brendan Rodgers and captain Callum McGregor for his work-rate in training, he was never able to secure and maintain a place in the starting lineup during the 2023/2024 campaign.
Lagerbielke is the latest central defender to leave the club after Maik Nawrocki’s loan to Hannover 96, though the 25 year-old’s time at Celtic will be remembered for his winning goal in the Champions League against Feyenoord.
Meanwhile, Celtic are reportedly eyeing a transfer for towering Dutch defender Justin de Haas. Operating as a left-sided central defender, De Haas has drawn interest from various European teams and is expected to command a fee close to £3 million.
Previously developed in the youth systems of AZ Alkmaar and PSV, de Haas spent time on loan at Dinamo Zagreb before completing a permanent transfer to NK Lokomotiva.

The Scottish champions have shown an interest in the 25-year-old Famalicão defender, who has been closely monitored as Celtic aim to bolster their backline.
Liam Scales reclaimed his spot alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers, replacing Auston Trusty towards the tale end of last season, while Trusty will be determined to capitalise on a promising pre-season to win back his position as CCV’s defensive partner.
Celtic have added Kieran Tierney, Benjamin Nygren, Callum Osman, Ross Doohan, and Hayato Inamura to their squad so far this window, while Nicholas Kuhn is poised to join Como for £16.5 million, and both Greg Taylor and Scott Bain have already departed the club.
