Graham Potter appointed as Sweden head coach

It's official: Graham Potter is the new head coach of the Swedish national team, succeeding Danish manager Jon Dahl Tomasson.

The announcement came Monday morning from the Swedish Football Association. The 50-year-old English coach has signed a contract that covers the 2026 World Cup qualifiers as well as a possible play-off next March. Should Sweden qualify for the World Cup, his contract will be automatically extended through the end of the tournament.

With this appointment, Sweden is hoping to inject fresh momentum into their campaign for World Cup 2026 qualification.
