Grêmio close to renewing Pedro Gabriel as academy left-back joins first team training | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Grêmio are expected to announce soon the renewal of 18-year-old left-back Pedro Gabriel, a four-year extension through 2030. His current deal runs until June 2026.

Pedro Gabriel will be a new face at Wednesday’s return to training. Fresh from the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, he will train with the senior group and be assessed by head coach Luís Castro.

The teenager has already featured for the first team, appearing last year against Monsoon and Pelotas in the Gauchão under Gustavo Quinteros. He then returned to the under-20s.

He now adds to the left-back options alongside Marlon and Caio Paulista in the senior squad.

On the right, academy prospect Vitor Ramon, from the under-17s, was promoted to train with the group at the end of January. He is next in line behind João Pedro and Marcos Rocha.
