Grêmio goalkeeper Gabriel Menegon, 17, has been invited to train with Brazil during the upcoming FIFA window, serving as a fourth option in the position.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti on Wednesday named a 26-man squad for friendlies against Australia and India, scheduled for late September into early October. According to Globo.com, Menegon will join the camp to work with the group.

He will train alongside the three goalkeepers officially selected, Hugo Souza of Corinthians, Morisco of Coritiba and Otávio of Cruzeiro.

Goalkeeping coach Taffarel often brings promising youngsters into sessions with the senior side. Flamengo prospect Léo Nannetti, 18, was added to the group during the World Cup.

Menegon was promoted to Grêmio's first team this year and is currently fourth choice. He made his senior debut as a substitute in the 3-1 home defeat to Corinthians on 30 May, in the 18th round of the Brasileirão.

On that day, coach Luís Castro was without Weverton, who was at the World Cup, and the injured Gabriel Grando. Third-choice Thiago Beltrame started but was sent off in the second half.
