Pep Guardiola insists there are enough games remaining for Manchester City to overhaul Arsenal in the title race, despite his side’s stumble at Spurs.

Manchester City blew a 2-0 half-time lead to draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, as Dominic Solanke’s brace earned the North London side a result.

City had led through Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo, but were unable to sustain a good first-half performance after the break. The result is a setback to the club’s title challenge, with leaders Arsenal having won at Leeds yesterday.

Despite the dropped points, which leave City six points behind Arsenal, Guardiola insisted his team will keep going in pursuit of the Premier League leaders.

“It was a good game. After the goal they conceded, we struggled. We came back again. In general it was a really good performance. Unfortunately we could not win,” he said to Sky Sports.

“They put more in the back, they found a goal and after that the momentum happened. some transitions the control they had we didn’t have. it was not a big issue.

“We are playing at a high level. We didn’t have the consistency to win the games when others were able to do it, 14 games it a lot of games. Six points [gap to Arsenal]. Next one.”
