RED BULL ARENA, LEIPZIG (Bulinews): RB Leipzig were 1-0 up against Bayern Munich at half-time in Saturday's Topspiel at Red Bull Arena, but ended up losing 1-5 after a second-half collapse.

Reflecting on the loss, RB Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi was naturally disappointed, feeling that the result wasn't a fair reflection of the whole game.

“The game was a lot more equal than the result shows. We lost a bit of control, our shape, and were taking too many risks, and we were up against a team that will punish you straight away on the counter. We didn't mark them enough for the last two goals," Gulacsi said in the mixed zone after the game.

“We played a really strong first half and also came out well for the second half. After they equalised, it was an open game. I thought we did well even after they went 2-1 up, and had chances to come back into the game. After their third goal, we just opened up, and it was unnecessary and a bit disappointing from our side to concede another two goals. For the most part, we played a strong game, so it's disappointing to lose 5-1 in the end."

Asked by Bulinews.com how RB Leipzig can bounce back from a defeat like this, Gulacsi responded:

“We have a week now to prepare for our game against Heidenheim. We need to take three points there because it's tight in the table. We played a strong game for the first 75 minutes. We can build on that."

The defeat to Bayern leaves Leipzig in fourth place, one point behind third-placed Hoffenheim and level on points with fifth-placed Stuttgart.
