Manchester City will entertain Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday night as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian club managed to earn a solid 2-0 victory over Salford City recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.
Pep Guardiola will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this clash. Erling Haaland will once again spearhead Man City‘s attack up top.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will operate in goal for Man City after he was rested in the FA Cup recently. Ruben Dias will operate alongside Marc Guehi at the heart of Guardiola’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay throughout the game.
Matheus Nunes will try to put in a good performance as the right-back, while Rayan Ait-Nouri hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will hope to go forward and join in on the attack at every chance they can get.
John Stones will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Nico O’Reilly, Rodri and Bernardo Silva will make up Man City’s midfield. Their main job would be to retain possession well at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders will have to be content with a place on the bench as they await for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Antoine Semenyo will try to make a difference on the left flank, while Rayan Cherki looks to cause some problems for his marker as the right-sided wide player.
Erling Haaland will lead the line for the Mancunian giants up top. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace on the offensive end of the field.
Omar Marmoush and Phil Foden will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if Man City are in need of a goal by then. However, Jeremy Doku will be sidelined for this game due to injury.
