Harry Maguire left out of England's World Cup squad | OneFootball

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is a surprise exclusion from Thomas Tuchel's England squad.

Although the full list of players won't be announced until tomorrow, Maguire has already confirmed that he won't be included.

"I was confident I could have played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had," Maguire said about Tuchel's decision according to talkSPORT.

"I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision. I wish the players all the best."

Maguire has been in good form for club and country over the last two seasons but the 33-year-old yet to convince his manager having only made two appearances for his country this season in friendly games back in March.

In total, Maguire has 66 caps for England having featured a both the 2018 and 2022 World Cups under Gareth Southgate.
