'He becomes mad very fast': Ex-Man Utd team-mate backs Cristiano Ronaldo for director role | OneFootball

Eric Djemba-Djemba says Cristiano Ronaldo is unlikely to coach and would suit a director role if he ever returns to Manchester United.

"I think director will be much better for him," he said. "Being a coach will be difficult for him, he becomes mad very, very fast. I can see him as a good director," he told Goal.com.

At 41, Ronaldo remains active with Al-Nassr and is expected to captain Portugal at this summer's World Cup. He is still chasing 1,000 competitive goals.

There has been talk of joining Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, while ownership or advisory roles have been floated for when he eventually retires. He is under contract in Riyadh until summer 2027 and hopes to play alongside his son Cristiano Jr.

Former team-mate Danny Simpson said: "If you look at his mentality, he obviously cares about the club. I think he would like to come back again but in another way."

Wes Brown said: "He could definitely move into the boardroom, he’s got the ability to swerve away from coaching and into the executive level, 100 per cent."

Quinton Fortune said: "At Manchester United I could see him as a part owner, he’s done incredible things in football and also financially, anything is possible because he loves the club."
