Two-year contract for Jose

As per the Italian transfer expert, Mourinho will be signing an initial two-year contract with Real Madrid and will be travelling to the Spanish capital to sign the documents.

The idea is for the signing and the announcement to take place after Los Blancos’ final game of the season against Athletic Club on May 24.

The 63-year-old tactician was always keen on a move back to the Santiago Bernabeu the moment it became clear that the club were looking for a new head coach.

The ‘Special One’ is excited to take over the reins at the club and help out the team going through a difficult phase and the deal will be finalised in the coming days.

Homecoming for Mourinho

This will be Mourinho’s second stint at Real Madrid, with the Portuguese manager having been in charge of the team for three years between 2010 and 2013.

During that stint, Mourinho won three domestic trophies with Real Madrid – one each of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.

The Portuguese also managed a dressing room filled with superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, Mesut Ozil, and Angel Di Maria.

Now, he will be aiming to set things right inside what appears to be a fractured dressing room and get Real Madrid back on track and winning major trophies after two consecutive seasons without one.
