Herói Vicente has resigned from Corinthians’ expansion, innovation and business role after eight months, allowing him to take part in the Deliberative Council vote that on Monday expelled former president Andrés Sanchez from the club’s membership.

Appointed on 16 September by president Osmar Stabile, the councillor confirmed his exit in a post on X, saying he was leaving to resume council duties and join the evening vote, and that he had worked intensively on innovation, governance, expansion and new revenue projects.

Under the club statute, directors cannot attend or vote in Deliberative Council meetings. By stepping down, Vicente regains his legislative powers within the body.

At the time of his appointment, the brief was to lead market expansion projects, implement innovative initiatives and strengthen ties with corporate partners. He cited work on Corinthians TV, Fan Fest, SAP Concur and strategic prospecting, as well as the Fiel Eleitor project.

This was not his first spell in the hierarchy. He headed the legal department under former president Duilio Monteiro Alves until mid 2023 and later joined a Professional Council Commission supporting the club’s legal area. He added that his departure does not mean distancing from the club, pledging to keep serving Corinthians and thanking Stabile for the opportunity.
