Sky Austria – as relayed by transfermarkt.de – is confirming a Fabrizio Romano report regarding an oversized Hoffenheim offer for former Wolfsburg flop Adam Daghim. According to all sources, the Bundesliga outfit is prepared to spend €9.5m on the RB Salzburg professional, who is currently valued at €7.5m.
Daghim’s market value rose to its current level upon moving to Wolfsburg last summer. It has remained at this level despite the fact that he scored only two goals in 30 appearances across all competitions for Wolfsburg last season.
All sources involved in the reporting claim that Salzburg aren’t quite prepared to accept the offer for the versatile attacker just yet. Hoffenheim may not prepared to up their tender by quite much more either. Hoffenheim have already procured a summer reinforcement on the right wing in the form of Daghim’s former Wolfsburg teammate Patrick Wimmer.
Daghim can play on the left and also in the center, but mostly featured on the right attacking flank last year. A more exigent need will be finding a replacement for their left flank magician Bazoumana Touré after Newcastle United finally wrapped up their signing of the Ivorian earlier this month. The Kraichgauer also appear set to lose Touré alternative Fisnik Asllani to Leipzig.
