MIAMI — The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues with Nicaragua hosting Honduras in Group C on Thursday at Estadio Nacional de Fútbol in Managua, Nicaragua.
Honduras (2-2-0) leads the group with eight points and can seal first place, along with the direct World Cup berth, with a victory and a draw between Haiti and Costa Rica. It would be the nation’s fourth World Cup appearance, and first since Brazil 2014.
Los Catrachos have recorded six straight clean sheets with goalkeeper Edrick Menjívar tallying 13 saves during the stretch. They are also getting it done on offense with Romell Quioto leading the way for an attack that is coming off a convincing 3-nil victory in their last match.
Nicaragua (0-1-3) has conceded ten goals in four matches and is on the brink of elimination. La Azul y Blanco is out of contention for first place in the group but can still qualify for the FIFA Play-Off Tournament with a second-place finish.
