Germany’s World Cup squad is due on Thursday, and leaks suggest the 26-man list is largely settled. Manuel Neuer is expected to start in goal if last week’s knock against 1. FC Köln proves minor.

Bild and Sky Germany report Oliver Baumann and Alexander Nübel are in. Bayern Munich’s Jonas Urbig is expected to travel to train with the group, but not be eligible to play.

Bild reported on Wednesday that four centre-backs have call-ups, Jonathan Tah, Antonio Rüdiger, and Dortmund pair Nico Schlotterbeck and Waldemar Anton. Sky and Bild add Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown will be involved. Joshua Kimmich is expected to play right-back, with RB Leipzig captain David Raum likely to start on the left.

Tuesday’s reports said Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha and Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller and Jamie Leweling are included. Youngsters Lennart Karl and Said El Mala have reportedly been called up. Sky Germany reported on Wednesday that Maximilian Beier will make it.

Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz and Aleksandar Pavlović are all widely expected. Up front, reports indicate Kai Havertz and Deniz Undav have been told they are in, while Nick Woltemade is expected despite no prior mention.

Only a few spots appear open. In contention are Matthias Ginter, Malick Thiaw, Leroy Sané, Pascal Groß, Tom Bischof, Kevin Schade, Assan Ouédraogo and Karim Adeyemi. German media suggest Noah Atubolu, Finn Dahmen, Robin Koch, Jeff Chabot, Maximilian Mittelstädt, Josha Vagnoman, Yann Aurel Bisseck, Robert Andrich, Chris Führich and Niclas Füllkrug are unlikely.
