Leeds United could reshape their midfield this summer as Daniel Farke’s side look to build on an impressive 2025/26.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, recruitment staff admire Southampton youngster Shea Charles, with further options being assessed. The pool is already deep, with five core contributors and Brenden Aaronson able to drop in. Free agent interest may add competition, with one target close to arrival.

Any arrivals could prompt difficult exits, while academy prospects continue to explore routes into senior football.

Keep: Ethan Ampadu. The captain has signed a new four-year deal and should be the anchor around which the midfield is built.

Keep: Ilia Gruev. A useful squad option who can cover Ampadu. If sales are needed to strengthen, other more profitable, if trickier, avenues could be explored.

Loan: Charlie Crew. A spell at Doncaster Rovers did not go to plan last season, and at 20 a further loan may benefit him.

Keep: Anton Stach. Outstanding in his debut season in West Yorkshire, and further minutes should only help.

Sell: Ao Tanaka. A tough call, but a suitable offer could deliver profit on a £3m signing. He was in and out last season, and another midfielder is wanted.

Keep: Sean Longstaff. A quick-profit sale in the Glen Kamara mould is conceivable, yet his Premier League experience and forward runs make him worth keeping.
