Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is expected to leave the Anfield club this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The 27-year-old Liverpool star claimed some weeks ago that an agreement was close to being reached to extend his contract.
However, none has been reached and Reds manager Arne Slot is now set to be without Konate.
Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are leaving Liverpool this summer and the France international centre-back is now expected to join them.
The Reds defender played 51 games across all competitions this season and will now look to use the World Cup to attract suitors.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has been linked with Liverpool, while a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah was reported some weeks ago.
The Merseyside club sold the Englishman to the Bundesliga club last summer for €35 million but secured an €80m buy-back clause in the deal.
The clause is valid until the end of May and it appears Liverpool may consider triggering it, especially if Konate indeed moves on.
The Frenchman currently earns around £150,000 a week at the club and is seeking an increase.
Konate wants to be one of the highest earners at Liverpool as last summer signing Florian Wirtz earns around £250,000 a week.
However, the club only want to extend his deal on their terms and it appears both parties have failed to reach a resolution.
Real Madrid were one of the clubs formerly keen on signing Konate but withdrew their interest last November.
They could return for him if he becomes available for free in the coming weeks, and several bigwigs in England and across Europe will be monitoring his situation.
Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet is set to join Liverpool in July following an agreement in the winter transfer window, and he could go straight into their starting XI and replace Konate.
