Iñigo Pérez’s 24-strong Villarreal backroom team for 2026/27 | OneFootball

Villarreal will go into 2026/27, and a return to the Champions League, with a 24-strong first-team staff led by Iñigo Pérez.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the structure spreads responsibilities across specialists to manage a saturated schedule, intensive travel and the physical and mental load on players.

Assistant coach Adrián López, fitness coach Javier Mallo, assistants Óscar Díaz and Diego Bermúdez, and goalkeeping coach Xavier Valero join Pérez for 2026/27, with reconditioning coach Adrián Sabater promoted from the academy.

The group also includes fitness assistant Fernando Martínez, analysts Pepe Alcaide and Pier Luis, goalkeeping assistant Joel Garzón and team delegate Xisco Nadal, plus kit staff Adrián Ortells and Jorge Garrido.

The medical department is led by Héctor Usó, with doctor Enrique Soriano and nurse Sergio Broceño. Physios are Josep Rochera, Axel Tirado, Nacho Fornás, Ferran Romero and Diego Manero.

Reconditioning specialists José Luis Villarroya and Adrián Beltrán complete that unit, and the support team is rounded out by masseur Juan Hernández.
