Real Sociedad ‘to monitor’ Stephy Mavididi, Villarreal and Getafe also linked | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have yet to make a signing this window, while working to add at least three new faces, with defence and attack the priorities. So far, the txuri-urdin have recorded three departures, with Brais Méndez moving to MLS and the loans of Duje Caleta-Car and Wesley Gassova ending.

According to AS, English reports have placed Stephy Mavididi on the club’s radar.

Mavididi operates mainly on the left wing for Leicester City. He joined in summer 2023 from Montpellier after coming through Arsenal’s academy and spending time with Juventus. The 28-year-old is under contract until June 2028, and Leicester would not rule out negotiations over a departure, as the club needs to reduce its wage bill after their drop to the third tier.

Real Sociedad are not the only La Liga side linked with the winger. Villarreal and Getafe have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

Last season Mavididi made 42 Championship appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
