Mile Svilar’s name is once again circulating strongly in the transfer market, with Inter monitoring the Giallorossi goalkeeper’s situation.

According to Gazzetta.it, the Nerazzurri are looking for a new number one for the future: the idea is to pair Yann Sommer with a high-caliber player, with Guglielmo Vicario in the running and Andriy Lunin as an alternative.

However, the dream of Mile Svilar remains in the background, whose future could be intertwined with Roma’s potential transfer needs.

Having arrived in the capital in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer from SL Benfica, Svilar has experienced a gradual growth path. Initially positioned behind Rui Patrício, he had to bide his time before earning a spot.

His first notable performances came in the 2023/24 season, when he also stood out in the Europa League, decisively saving two penalties in the match against Feyenoord.

His breakthrough came in 2024/25, when he finished with the best save percentage in Serie A (around 77%) and 16 clean sheets. These numbers confirmed the Serbian goalkeeper’s growth, and he has since become a regular starter this season.

In 2025/26, Svilar made 30 league appearances for a total of 2,700 minutes, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 23 goals.

Added to these are nine appearances in the Europa League, for a total of 40 matches this season.

This performance has attracted the attention of top European clubs, but Roma currently considers the goalkeeper a key part of their project, as highlighted by Gazzetta.it.
