Inter Milan are moving quickly to secure the signature of Verona forward Giovane, with the Brazilian starlet having impressed coach Cristian Chivu during a recent scouting trip to Bentegodi.
According to L’Arena, via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have already opened discussions with the player’s entourage.
Indeed, in an effort to bring him to Milan in January, ahead of rival clubs Napoli, Milan, and Villarreal.
Chivu is reportedly so impressed by Giovane’s performance and potential that he personally requested the club to prioritise his signing.
The early negotiations indicate that Inter are prepared to act fast.

The transfer fee is expected to rise from an initial €10–15 million to as much as €30 million due to interest.
Such a figure represents a significant sum for Verona.
However, the prospect of playing for a top Italian and European club could sway both the player and the club.
Verona sporting director Zanetti recently stated that Giovane is focused on establishing himself with the club.
However, the realities of modern football make it difficult for smaller clubs to resist large offers.
L’Arena points out that the market often dictates player destinies.
Therefore, it will be intriguing to see whether Verona can keep their prized asset despite the financial lure.
Inter are clearly determined to strengthen their attack during the winter window, and Giovane is currently the player at the top of their shopping list.
