Inter have made strides in their pursuit of Oumar Solet, while the negotiation with Atalanta regarding Marco Palestra is lagging, but the player wants to join them. The Nerazzurri recently met with Udinese, tabling their offer for the defender and inquiring about Arthur Atta, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Scudetto holders aim to snatch the former RB Salzburg star on loan with an obligation to buy. They found an opening in that respect. However, the two teams aren’t too close on the fee. There’s about a €7/8M gap between the offer and the request. An agreement could be reached at around €20/22M.
While Inter have zeroed in on Solet and Palestra, they simply tested the waters for Atta. He’s an alternative to Curtis Jones and Manu Koné at the moment. Liverpool could adjust their plans after firing Arne Slot and appointing Andoni Iraola. Roma are trying to retain all their key players. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Udinese value their midfield starlet at €30/35M. There’s plenty of competition, and his departure isn’t certain.
As for the negotiation with Atalanta, the Serie A winners need to close a €10M different between their €40M offer, plus add-ons, and the request. They need the green light from Oaktree or to include a makeweight to get there.
The former is relatively cheap and appears to have made his choice, so it’ll be a matter of details, unless other sides suddenly swoop in. La Dea isn’t doing them any favors and is asking for an uncomfortable disbursement. A partial swap could be needed to do the trick, as the bidders have hit their ceiling money-wise.
