Frankfurt defenders Amenda, Koch and Kristensen all started for their respective countries, while Aaronson and Uzun went head-to-head.
Having played the full 90 minutes in the UEFA Nations League semi-final against Portugal, Robin Koch once again went the distance for Germany on Sunday in a 2-0 defeat by France in the competition’s third-place play-off.
Eintracht trio in the USA
Four other Eagles were in action on Saturday, including three in the USA. In East Hartford there was even an Eintracht reunion as two young attackers went head-to-head in a friendly between the Stars and Stripes and Turkey: 21-year-old Paxten Aaronson and 19-year-old Can Uzun. The latter came off the bench in the 84thminute and helped the visitors hold on for a 2-1 win.
Wins for Amenda and Kristensen
Elsewhere in the US, Aurèle Amenda was part of a Switzerland side that took on Mexico in Salt Lake City, where the Eintracht No.5 was on the pitch from start to finish in a 4-2 victory.
Rasmus Kristensen likewise played for 90 minutes in Copenhagen as Denmark beat Northern Ireland 2-1.
