FC Nantes, relegated to Ligue 2, said in a statement that 17-year-old attacking midfielder Jalen Foucan has signed his first professional contract.
Since relegation, Nantes have moved to secure several prospects with new deals and extensions. Goalkeeper Alexis Mirbach, 21, has extended to 2030, while centre-back Sékou Doucouré, also 21, is tied down to 2029.
Defenders Tom Raiani, 18, and Taigy Dugard, 19, versatile player Louka Gautier, 20, and striker Sanah Camara, 18, have all signed their first professional terms in recent weeks. Foucan now joins that group.
The midfielder joined La Jonelière aged 14 and has progressed through the club’s ranks.
He is described as a modern midfielder who wins the ball and drives forward quickly, a genuine box-to-box profile. Foucan’s contract runs until 2029.
