James Morrison says conversations on his West Brom future can wait until the season is finished, after guiding the club to Championship safety with a 0-0 draw against Ipswich Town. The club stalwart will mark 20 years at the Baggies next year.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the stalemate at The Hawthorns secured survival less than 24 hours after a two-point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability regulations. Ipswich are promotion-chasing.
Morrison is aware of loud calls for a permanent appointment, yet he stressed his focus is to complete the season before any talks. He expects plenty of conversation, adding he will share his thoughts and the club will have theirs.
He felt the points sanction galvanised supporters and players, and said he barely needed a team talk as the group remained unfazed. Fans voiced anger at the EFL during a vibrant afternoon.
On the pitch, Albion were on top for more than an hour and Morrison framed the contest as a test of progress. He said the display showed his team are in good form, praising their recovery runs when possession was lost.
