Jamie Vardy will launch a new podcast this week as he approaches the end of his Cremonese contract this month following their Serie A relegation. According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, his deal included a one-year option only if the club stayed up, and he is set to leave when it expires.
His next move in football remains unclear, and the 39-year-old has previously said he would know when it is time to retire. After his Netflix documentary on Leicester and an ITV three-part series aired, he has moved on to this project.
In an Instagram post, Vardy confirmed he is starting the show, which is set to drop weekly, as stated in its account biography.
A trailer shows a room decorated with images from his career, before wife Rebekah enters to ask what he is up to. He replies that she should wait and see what he has planned.
The announcement follows Rebekah appearing to rule out a return to the King Power Stadium. Vardy scored 200 goals in 500 appearances for Leicester before departing at the end of the 2024/25 season.
In ITV’s The Vardys, the 2016 Premier League title winner fuelled fan debate over his exit, saying he had made the decision himself, that it was not him against the club, and that he simply was not happy.
