Rebekah Vardy prompted fresh debate with a curt Instagram response about Leicester City chief Jon Rudkin, according to LeicesterMercury.co.uk.

On Thursday evening she ran a Q&A for her 372,000 followers. Asked if she would invite Rudkin to a family barbecue, she replied, "Nope!" She said "Absolutely" when the same was asked of Susan Whelan, who left as CEO in October after 15 years.

The 39-year-old left the Foxes over 12 months ago, ending a 13-year stay at the King Power Stadium. His 500th and final appearance brought his 200th goal for the club.

He joined Cremonese in September and is expected to leave at the end of his one-year contract. The deal included an option to extend if they stayed in Serie A, but their relegation was confirmed last week.

Rudkin's name surfaced earlier this year when a video from Italy showed Vardy with Leicester City fans. As he walked off, one asked, "Rudkin's the problem then?" Vardy answered, "I can neither confirm nor deny."
