Jamie Vardy has been linked with a possible move to Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday are preparing for the new League One season after Arise Capital completed their takeover of the club in May.
It was a tumultuous 12 months prior to the change in ownership, with the Owls going into administration following significant financial issues.
And several changes have already been made behind the scenes by the group led by David Storch, with a new CEO and sporting director appointed.
David Bruce is Sheffield Wednesday’s new chief executive, while Simon Wilson will oversee their recruitment plans.
Henrik Pedersen remains in charge of the first team squad, and he will be hoping to rebuild the side for the upcoming campaign.
The club have already completed the signings of Ricardo Santos, Callum Slattery and Jordi Liongola, with further incomings likely between now and 1 September.

It has been reported by The Star that Jamie Vardy has been discussed internally as a possible option to add to Pedersen’s first team this summer.
The former Leicester City forward is currently a free agent following his departure from Italian side Cremonese.
The striker is a boyhood Sheffield Wednesday supporter, and could be an option to bolster their forward options for the coming campaign.
Wilson has not ruled out the possibility of signing Vardy, suggesting that they are casting a wide net when considering their options in the transfer market this summer.
The sporting director has reiterated that the club are working to find the best players possible, potentially leaving the door open for the 39-year-old to move to Hillsborough.
“We’re out there talking to lots of people about lots of things and I think there’s going to have to be some distance for us to acquire players,” said Wilson.
“Every player that gets mentioned, we’re certainly not going to have space for all of them, but we’re looking to find the best players we can possibly find for Sheffield Wednesday and you never know what that might throw up.”
Vardy featured 29 times in Serie A last season, scoring seven times, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Cremonese from suffering relegation to Serie B.
Sheffield Wednesday fans have urged Vardy to forget about the mistakes made by the previous owners, and to accept a move to his boyhood club.
Some are optimistically hoping that the forward could return alongside former captain Barry Bannan, who departed in January for Millwall, and believe the pair could help unveil the new home kit for next season in League One.
However, the more pessimistic members of the fanbase don’t expect to see Vardy sign for the Owls this summer.
Sheffield Wednesday will begin the new campaign with a trip to face Leyton Orient on 15 August.

Vardy signing for his boyhood club has an obvious appeal for the new owners, and his performances last season suggest he’d still be a great asset to have in the team as well.
The 39-year-old, however, seems unlikely to join at this stage, even though he is without a club for next season.
It would be an exciting signing for fans, and there’s no surprise that he’s in-demand among the supporters, but he will surely also have offers from elsewhere after leaving Cremonese.
Wilson has a lot on his plate at the moment, and perhaps Sheffield Wednesday should be prioritising deals they know they can get done first before further exploring a move for Vardy.
