A huge claim has just been dropped on Jarrod Bowen's much-speculated future at West Ham amid interest from a host of Premier League outfits

West Ham are poised to see a host of prized assets lured away before the 2026/27 Championship commences in August, with relegation necessitating something of a summer clearing sale at the London Stadium.

The Hammers suffered a surprise relegation to the second-tier, to which they will now be returning for the first time in some 14 years, and reports have indicated that Nuno Espirito Santo's side must now look to raise up to £150 million in player sales throughout the summer.

A series of exits from East London are primed to take place in the coming weeks and months as West Ham look to balance the books, recoup vital funds and arm Nuno with a squad capable of gaining promotion back to the Premier League at the very first time of asking while shifting those interested in moves elsewhere.

The likes of Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville are both among the most talked-up players on the market right now, having duly impressed in the top-flight despite relegation, and it would be a great shock to see either turning out in the Championship come August.

Meanwhile, Jarrod Bowen's future is also the subject of increasing speculation, with the talismanic forward potentially set to see his six-and-a-half year stay with the Hammers come to an end this summer.

Bowen, who registered nine goals and 11 assists in the Premier League before controversially missing out on a place in Thomas Tuchel's England World Cup squad, has been linked with the likes of Aston Villa, Chelsea and even David Moyes' Everton in recent times, with the talented skipper's stance on spending at least one season playing second-tier football for the first time since his departure from Hull City back in January 2020 remaining open to debate.

However, a fresh development could just be poised to emerge following a big claim made live on air this morning.

Andy Goldstein drops huge Aston Villa transfer claim on West Ham's Jarrod Bowen

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning, presenter Andy Goldstein revealed a huge claim on Bowen's immediate future and exactly where the 29-year-old winger's next destination could be.

Bowen's potential departure from West Ham has not been billed to the same degree of inevitability as that of Fernandes and Summerville, for example, with many Hammers supporters still hopeful of the forward's services being retained throughout a nervy summer considering his loyalty to the club over the years.

However, if Goldstein is to be believed, then Bowen's exit is imminent. That's because the presenter has claimed to have been informed that the 22-cap England international is on his way to Aston Villa, with Unai Emery's side among the clubs to have already been linked with a move for Bowen.

Goldstein appears to strongly trust the information he has received, and while fans will hope he's wide of the mark, his insistence and willingness to reveal such a significant claim on live air would suggest that this one could have legs.

He said: "This will happen. I can't tell you my sources, but this will happen.

"Jarrod Bowen to Aston Villa, you heard it here first. I've heard, I can't tell you [from who].

"It's definitely not from Danny Dyer or any connection there.

"Transfer, permanent."

How much West Ham could receive for Jarrod Bowen amid Aston Villa transfer claim

Bowen is naturally one of the more sellable assets in Nuno's squad after establishing himself as a top performer at Premier League level over the years, with his consistent high-volume output of goals and assists eclipsed by very few top-flight wide-men.

The ex-Hull City sensation would doubtless wreak havoc back in the Championship, just as he did at the MKM Stadium many years ago, but it does feel increasingly likely that he could earn a deserved move to remain in the Premier League before long.

Recent reports have indicated that West Ham are holding out for a £50 million figure in order to part ways with Bowen, and it will be interesting to see whether Villa have met that sum - if Goldstein's claim is true, of course.

The Hammers do hold the cards when it comes to Bowen's future, with the winger's contract still having four years to run, and a £50 million outlay would see a handsome profit flipped on the fee paid to Hull for his signature more than six years ago.
