Jérôme Brisard has been appointed to referee the 2026 Coupe de France final between Lens and Nice on Friday 22 May at the Stade de France.
According to L'Équipe, the FFF executive committee named the 40-year-old as the match referee on Tuesday.
It will be the first Coupe de France final of his career. He has handled two ties in this season’s competition, Les Herbiers v Angers in the round of 64, and Hauts Lyonnais v Lorient in the round of 32.
Brisard will also serve as VAR for the Europa League final on 20 May alongside François Letexier. He will act as a video match official at the 2026 World Cup, from 11 June to 19 July.
He previously oversaw the last Coupe de la Ligue final in 2020, when PSG beat Lyon on penalties after 0-0, 6-5.
