João Pedro Tchoca says goodbye to his family before heading to Italy

This Monday (26), defender João Pedro Tchoca officially said goodbye to his family at Guarulhos International Airport before departing for Italy, where he will continue his career at the Italian club Torino FC.

The defender was loaned to Torino, from the Italian Serie A, and will travel in the coming days to join his new club. The agreement provides for a loan until June for 1.5 million euros (approximately R$ 9.5 million), with a purchase obligation set at 4.5 million euros (about R$ 28 million), conditional on the fulfillment of targets established in the contract. Corinthians also retained 12% of any capital gain in the event of a future transfer of the player.

The farewell was captured in images shared exclusively on the Central do Timão social media, showing the player alongside his family before boarding for the European continent. The moment marked the end of a cycle that began in the youth divisions of the club from Parque São Jorge.

João Pedro joined Corinthians in 2019, at the age of 16, and won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2024. Promoted to the professional squad, he played 33 matches, scored one goal, and was part of the squads that won the Campeonato Paulista and the Copa do Brasil in 2025.

In the current squad, Tchoca was the fourth option for the defensive sector. The alvinegro defense features André Ramalho and Gustavo Henrique as starters, as well as Gabriel Paulista and Cacá as alternatives. Now, the defender begins a new chapter of his career in Italian football, while Corinthians follows the player's development abroad.
