SEATTLE – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continued with Seattle Sounders FC earning a 3-1 win over Tigres UANL in the Second Leg of their Quarterfinals series, with the latter advancing on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate, on Wednesday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Albert Rusnak opened the scoring for the hosts in the 11’ when he knocked in a ball over the top from Cristian Roldan.

The Mexican side found the equalizer in the 31’ as Joaquim slammed in a header off a corner kick cross from Juan Brunetta.

Halftime substitute Danny Musovski put the Sounders back in the lead in the 48’, three minutes after entering the match, when he knocked in a low cross from Jordan Morris.

Rusnak netted his second of the game with a blast from distance in the 82’ to set the score level on aggregate. The Sounders needed one more to offset the away goal tiebreaker but could not find the winning goal.

Tigres UANL advances to the Semifinals for the seventh time in its last nine tournament appearances and will face Nashville SC in the next round.

Tigres UANL advanced to the semifinals of this Concacaf Champions Cup on away goals (3-3 on aggregate). Tigres UANL have reached this stage in seven of their last nine appearances in the competition: 2015-16, 2016-17, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2025, and now 2026.

Seattle Sounders FC averaged 69% possession tonight against Tigres UANL, their highest share of possession in the Concacaf Champions Cup since 2017, surpassing the 64% they recorded against Olimpia in 2020.

Danny Musovski (Seattle Sounders FC) entered in the second half and scored in the 48th minute, his second goal as a substitute in this season’s Concacaf Champions Cup. The only other Sounders player to score off the bench in the tournament is Paul Rothrock, also with two goals.

Musovski’s goal came exactly three minutes after entering as a substitute. It is the second-fastest goal by a substitute in this season’s Concacaf Champions Cup, behind Ademar Chávez’s goal for FC Cincinnati against O&M FC (2:10).

Jordan Morris recorded his third assist in the Concacaf Champions Cup since 2017, and his first in the competition since 2022 against New York City FC. All of his assists in the tournament have given his team the lead on the scoreboard.

Cristian Roldan recorded his ninth assist in the Concacaf Champions Cup since 2018, tying Luis Quiñones for the most assists in the competition in that span. However, the California native reached the mark in fewer matches (21 compared to 23).
