Former Olympique Lyonnais boss John Textor has brought a case against the club’s new leadership at the Lyon commercial court, seeking €20.9 million.
According to Le Progres, the claim comprises €2.5 million in management fees and €18.4 million linked to a short-term advance. OL has branded the move a judicial guerrilla and an attempt to destabilise, and said it will respond through appropriate legal channels while reserving the right to seek compensation.
Textor was removed from OL’s leadership in summer 2025. The filing comes weeks after OL’s debts to him were erased at the end of June 2026 during the sale of his controlling stake.
The case adds to a complaint Textor has filed in Florida demanding 400 million dollars, about €350 million, from Michele Kang. He accuses her of leading a conspiracy to take control and ownership of OL.
Lyon’s current management has also recently lodged a criminal complaint over potential misuse of corporate assets and false accounting covering 2023-2025, the period when Textor was CEO.
