Jorge Mendes ‘to place’ António Silva at Juventus as Benfica seek renewal | OneFootball

António Silva’s future is back under scrutiny, with the Benfica centre-back linked again with a summer exit and renewed attention from Juventus.

According to Glorioso 1904, agent Jorge Mendes is preparing to put the 22-year-old back on the Serie A side’s agenda, after Juventus tried to sign him in January 2025 and could reopen the case.

His name could also be used within other ongoing talks involving Juventus, including conversations related to Bernardo Silva, a scenario that could revive previous interest.

Benfica are still attempting to renew the defender’s contract, which runs to 2027. José Mourinho wants to keep working with him as he approaches the final year of his deal, and Rui Costa is said to be willing to meet that request.

This season, Silva has made 38 appearances for Benfica, 22 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal, one in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 2,848 minutes he has scored one goal, and he is valued at 28 million euros.
