A headline member of the summer transfer shortlist at La Liga champions Barcelona has given the green light to a move to Turkey, with Fenerbahçe.
That’s according to Turkish outlet FotoMac, who point towards Marcus Rashford as the player in question.
Frontman Rashford is of course widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out, no longer part of the plans at current club Manchester United.
On the lookout for reinforcements out wide for next season, the aforementioned Barcelona, in turn, have been hotly tipped as a potential landing spot for the 27-year-old.
After already missing out on Athletic Club standout Nico Williams this summer, it will therefore no doubt mark a source of concern for those in the Camp Nou boardroom to learn of Rashford inching towards a move elsewhere.
As per a report from FotoMac:
‘Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho has personally intervened in the Rashford transfer, contacting his former student by phone and asking his intentions.’
Not only that, but the versatile attacker is said to have given the ‘green light’ to a move to Istanbul.
