Manchester United remain winless after their opening two Premier League matches of 2025/2026.
A narrow 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at home was followed by a 1-1 draw in the Reds’ first away day of the season against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Having succeeded Erik ten Hag and taken the reins of United last November, Ruben Amorim has recorded a win percentage of just 24.1 per cent, overseeing only seven wins in 29 matches.

When he was appointed to weather the storm of what Ten Hag left behind, fans were adamant that he must be given ample time to not only see out the remainder of the season, but be adequately and sufficiently backed on the market this summer.
With Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha, two of whom are Premier League-proven talents, all added to his ranks, as well as a new goalkeeper addition expected to arrive in the coming days, it’s now fully on him to let his coaching do the talking, or else risk enduring the same fate as those before him.
After around half an hour of action in west London on Sunday, United had nothing to show for what had been a generally easy-on-the-eye start to the clash.
As a result, Amorim was at his wits end with there being no end product once again, and made it clear to his players when they resorted to constantly passing backwards instead of pushing further afield.
Samuel Luckhurst spotted a moment when the United boss vented his frustrations on the touchline, as the journalist said on X/Twitter: “Amorim, who was beckoning United forward a couple of minutes ago, just went ballistic at them playing the ball from Fulham’s half into their own. MUFC had a good 20 minutes but same old obvious problem: no goal. Amorim’s flicker of impatience [is] understandable.”
Next up for United is a Carabao Cup tie encounter against League Two outfit Grimsby Town on Wednesday evening before they host Burnley in a Saturday 3pm slot.
